At the beginning of 2026, we welcomed Bianca Chapman, our new Programs Facilitator, to the Albert Park indoor Centre.

Bianca currently organises the Indoor Centre’s Indoor Netball competition, which has been running with 14 teams across our Monday and Wednesday evening competitions. AWOL recently won the Monday division and Breakers the Wednesday division.  Indoor Netball consists of different competitive levels of mixed teams - Unlimited, Family, Work, Preseason sports teams etc.

The interest for Term 2 has increased, which has now allowed us to open up a Tuesday evening module.  We are also going to trial a few changes in Term 2, the first being power-play rounds, where each team will choose a quarter before the beginning of each game to double the points for that quarter.  There will also be bonus points, to stay in conjunction with the NZ Indoor Netball rules.

We will be doing LIVES on our Facebook page (Albert Park Indoor Centre), and we have a small stadium seating area, for those who would like to come down for a watch - spectators are always more than welcome, with games starting at 6pm.
