Patron's Report

The 2026 year will certainly be remembered, with dramatic local weather events impacting both Otorohanga and Pirongia.

Te Awamutu Sports and Recreation Club continues to progress, despite this challenging environment, supported by a dedicated and effective Executive Board and Code management teams.

Players and members need to continue to support the hard-working administrators and volunteers, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that each code continues week to week, often at considerable personal effort and cost.

Importance of Sport Participation:

Sport participation plays a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our entire community. By engaging in sports, individuals are given the opportunity to step beyond their everyday environments, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Through competition and social interaction, players can connect with a broader group of people. This not only strengthens community ties but also encourages the development of lasting friendships and a sense of belonging among participants.

Friendships foster a strong Club identity and help Te Awamutu Sports and Recreation Club to maintain a loyal base of supporters and sponsors.

I sincerely thank all sponsors, administrators, coaches, volunteers, and players for their support, assistance, and participation, and I wish everyone a positive and enjoyable 2026.
