Mark McNaughten
Board President
Mark has been a part of Te Awamutu Rugby Sports & Recreation Club for many years: as a player; former Chairman of Senior Rugby; current member of the Senior Rugby Committee; and our current Board President.
Mark coached junior rugby, including the trifecta of local representative junior rugby - Gwynn Shield, Goldfields and Bowers teams.
Mark part owns and is the GM of Homeward Interiors. Mark is also Deputy Chairman of Composite Retail Group Board and sits as a Trustee on the Cornerstone Trust.

Allan Bryant
Board Member
Allan has been a member of the Board at Te Awamutu Rugby Sports & Recreation Club for several years. He is a strong supporter of numerous codes, and loves the community interaction being a part of the club brings. AJ was born and raised on a farm in Parawera, schooled at Kihikihi Primary, Te Awamutu Intermediate and Te Awamutu College. After school he went farming, which is still how he spends his days today. Allan played rugby throughout all his school years, then both TA United and TA Old Boys. He has coached many levels of rugby at TA Sports, both junior rep and seniors. He can often be found at the club, helping out in a myriad of ways.

Joe Sprangers
Board Member
Joe is a life member of Te Awamutu Rugby Sports and Recreation Club, a former Club President and Board Chair and current Board member. Joe has been the chair of our Junior Rugby code and a coach for junior rugby, under 21s, as well as Gwynne Shield and Goldfields rep rugby. Joe was President of the TA Sports Touch Module for 25 years, and coached for the Waikato Touch Association representative Touch teams. Joe is currently the CEO of Touch New Zealand, the National Sport Organisation, and sits on the Board of the Waikato Rugby Union, as well as supporting other not-for-profit organisations, at a governance level.

Lance Fielder
Board Member
Lance has lived in Te Awamutu since 2005. He married a local TA girl, Haley, and has three children, which occupies quite a lot of spare time! Lance is an accountant with GFA Chartered Accountants Ltd, and he and Haley are long-time supporters and sponsors of Te Awamutu Sports & Recreation Club Inc.
Lance loves anything sport related – playing golf, squash, and cycling, or watching lots of other codes. He thrives on community involvement – he has been on the Board of the Te Awamutu Rugby Sports & Recreation Club Inc for some time now and has recently joined the board of The Theatre Beautiful Ltd, which is responsible for the operation of TA’s Regent Theatre.

Tania Green
Board Member
Tania has been a cornerstone of the Te Awamutu business community for over 30 years. With a deep background in accounting, she specialises in helping local businesses and families streamline their finances. Tania provides hands-on, onsite support and training for key software platforms, including Xero and MYOB, ensuring her clients can confidently manage their systems and reporting.
Beyond the numbers, Tania is passionate about giving back. She is a dedicated mentor and spends her weekends actively involved in local sports. Her commitment to the Te Awamutu region is reflected in her work with various not-for-profit clubs and community organisations, where she applies her professional skills to help local groups thrive.

Ross Fleming
Board Member
Ross has a long history within the Te Awamutu community and with Te Awamutu Rugby Sports and Recreation Club. Through his business, JL Connolly Ltd, Ross is involved in many community, particularly sporting, endeavours.
Ross has been a trustee of the CornerstoneTrust for several years, assisting young achievers to realise their sporting dreams. As a board member for Te Awamutu Sports he is often to be be seen on Saturday mornings, helping to set up for Senior Rugby's afternoon games. Ross sits on the committee of the Waikato Master Painters, and in his spare time likes to DIY.

Kim Johnson
Board Member
Kim is an lawyer, based in Te Awamutu, specialising in criminal and family law. As well as private practice, she is part of the PDLA and Duty Lawyer rosters, assisting individuals at the initial stages of their charges, with the goal of achieving the best outcome for each client's unique situation.
Outside of legal practice, Kim is actively engaged in the community. She serves on the Board of the Te Awamutu Sports & Recreation Club and is a committee member of the Te Awamutu Sports Netball Club, showcasing her dedication to community involvement and support for local sports initiatives.
